"Feast of Saint Valentine"
Yummy time, fried chicken never gets old, ever! Especially when it’s dredged in cocoa flour before fried, and drizzled with maple ketchup. Is it something for the kids or something for the kid in you? I’m still unsure.
These chicken tenders are so good. The weird
thing is, I make chicken tenders all the time, these do not taste the same, but
they don’t taste like chocolate. I can figure out what the coco powder adds
flavor wise; but it adds something! No one will believe this has chocolate in
it, quite a considerable amount too.
My sister kept insisting that they were
burning. I had to reassure her several
times that they are not burnt but it’s the coco in the batter that gave it that
dark color. Paired with the scallions and the maple ketchup this would be a hit
with kids. I probably wouldn’t even tell them the chicken has chocolate in it.
I’m not sure if that would be a positive or a negative in the mind of a child.
We adults seem to want to mix and play and create and do all sorts of crazy things
with food.
