Greedy Girl Eats: at Dukunoo Den Cafe

 "Greedy Girl Eats"

This restaurant is quite the gem. I am very thankful for the day we landed off the plane and opted for something other than Island Grill. Their menu changes daily and everything that I’ve ever tasted from them is quite delicious, their fried chicken is no exception. On this particular day the fried chicken angels were watching over us, we rolled into the airport for a pick up at around 3:45pm and got the last two fried chicken dinners they had. Lucky!

One thing is for sure, after a day of flying especially when your final destination is Kingston Jamaica, travelers are exhausted but mostly hungry, and the last thing you may want is food from the airport. However we were forced to find dinner on one of our trips and were certainly shocked to know this little restaurant was tucked in the corner. My sister actually had their fried chicken breast and enjoyed it (and she does not eat chicken breast ever)

 Name: Dukunoo Den cafe
Location: Kingston (Norman Manley International Airport)

Seasoning:  9 always seasoned to the bone with a good flavor
Consistency: 9 their chicken taste the same every time you have it
Juiciness: 9.5 one of the juiciest chicken breast I’ve ever had
Crispiness: 8.5 over all great crunch
Sides:  6 standard rice and peas with toss salad
Price: 7 $420 Jamaican Dollars Approximately $4 USD not too bad

Hiccups… only one size, no small, however the quantity of food is very large, and you get whatever piece you want. And they may not serve fried chicken every day

Total score 49/60 or 81.6%

As always, this restaurant is flooded with employees during lunch hour. Don’t expect to get any food if you’re coming in on a later flight.  But if your flight lands at Norman Manley any time before 5:30pm and you’re hungry, try this place.
