Quicky-berry Cobbler

Easy Bake!

I have gotten so comfortable with the easy drink recipes of last month that I had to ease my way back into the normal routine. Not to mention the fact that for half of this month I will be away from my kitchen and utensils, so I’m dubbing August easy bake month. I will be whipping up some super easy dessert pastries using store bought and homemade items to create easy and delicious items everyone will think took hours to make. First up a blueberry cobbler that will be ready in less than 30 minutes!

I don’t know how my life would go on without Pillsbury products. These people specifically make everything just for me.  It’s not all the time I want to make things from scratch, especially pastries. So imagine how annoying it is to live in town where you can’t buy a Pillsbury frozen pie crust; Its absolute torture. So imagine my joy, when I saw these Pillsbury grand’s biscuits in Mega mart, I literally dove and grabbed them all up. I really didn’t know when I would ever see them again. Crescent rolls, grand’s, cinnamon rolls are all very rare occurrences in a Mandeville Jamaica supermarket.

It took all of 5 minutes to mix the berries and the other ingredients together and another 17 to 20 minutes to bake it in the oven. The orange zest makes this dish. It pairs so well with the blueberries. And the biscuits on top taste like a doughnut with the berry juices soaked up in it. Yum and Yum, great brunch item too. And it will only take 30 minutes out of your busy day :)

Ingredients (printable recipe)

2 pints blueberries
1 pack grand’s biscuit
2 whole orange zests
1 orange (juice)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoon salted butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
