Garlic Shrimp

There are at least seven hundred and fifty thousand garlic shrimp recipes available to us.  And each recipe has slight variations. This one like all the others is a very simple and easy dish to prepare for anyone who loves shrimp. It takes no more than 15 minutes to prepare you can serve with potatoes, rice or toss with some pasta.

It’s time for some BBQ’s. This month it’s all about the best home-made side dishes for your picnics and BBQ’s. Chicken, ribs, hamburgers and hot dogs all need side dishes to make that summer plate complete.  I’m sure you’re going to get invited somewhere and you may need a “Wow” recipe. Or you’re the host and you want some epic food to go with the fun. In either case I’ve got you covered as usual. First up is a corn on the cob, but with a super delicious and interesting twist; Curry!

Parsley soufflé omelette


The best way to eat an egg!


In researching omelette types I discovered the soufflé omelette. An interesting method where the whites are whipped separately from the yolks then combined to make a fluffier fuller omelette. I decided to use a few herbs, some flavored cheese and put the method to the test. It really does work.

Grilled shrimp on pineapple chow


Something Smells Fishy...


A few weeks ago I was on facebook and I saw a friend post a pineapple in a plastic bag with some green ‘stuff’ on it, the tag read pineapple chow. I was like what’s that? A little bit of research led me to several Trinidadian sites detailing how to make the soaked or marinated pineapple. I thought it very interesting that they soak fruits in a marinade of garlic, pepper, salt and chadon beni. The next thought that crossed my mind was how awesome this would be with grilled shrimp….and that’s what I did.
