Red wine iced mocha

"Feast of Saint Valentine"

Sometimes you just want a glass of red wine in the morning without the judgmental gasps. If that’s you then what better way than to camouflage that glass with some mocha. In all honesty there is more milk than red wine in this, but the flavors of the wine do stand out.  Its cold, and has the perfect balance of bitter, sweet and tart. Chocolate Banana Fritters

 "Feast of Saint Valentine"

I will say that this month of chocolate recipes have truly tested my recipe imagination skills. I find the month were I focus on one ingredient, making the recipes versatile tend to be quite a challenge.  So far using chocolate I’ve made french toast, orange hot chocolate, ribs, a milk shake and now fritters. Cocoa and banana yes, please and thank you.

Orange Hot chocolate

"Feast of Saint Valentine"

There is just something about a rich warm cup of hot chocolate that makes you feel warm, fuzzy and special inside. If you’ve read my post on a chocolate orange crepe you would have already known I have an obsession with the flavors of orange and chocolate paired. I don’t know what it is, but I think the sweet citrus aromas of an orange with milk chocolate are just the perfect match. In my book, nothing else pairs better with chocolate; not mint, not strawberries, not even hazelnut (sorry Nutella). Orange and chocolate equal’s bliss, and this orange hot chocolate is blissful.
