"Greedy Girl Eats"
For me fried chicken is one of the hardest things to make. I
feel like restaurants in Jamaica set the bar so high with how amazingly
delicious their fried chicken is that the home made ones just seem to fall
short. That is why I went on the quest to find the best fried chicken; one that
was seasoned, spicy and would remain crispy. I found the best one in Negril and
now I'm making my own.
I will say this is the best crunch I have ever achieved on
fried chicken in all the years I've been making it. The flavor was also good. I
only wish I had some scallion to add to the marinade. We were out of scallion
the day I filmed. However the chicken was flavorful and the skin was crispy. It
is nowhere near as yummy flavor wise as the restaurants I’ve been reviewing
(but i think ill just assume its because they use msg and I don’t) but for a
home made fried chicken, it was pretty darn good

Greedy tips
- Fry at 350 degrees, too hot and your chicken will brown before meat is cooked
- Breast and thighs apx 20 minutes till done or when internal temperature is 170 degrees or more
- Legs and wings 15 minutes till done or when internal temptemperature is 170 degrees or more
- Dont use olive oil!! peanut, vegetable and canola oil are good.
lets take a look back at all the fried chicken I've reviewed this month :) In no particular order.
